Dr. Steven A. Gest, MD, Founder

GoHealthNow was founded by Dr. Steven A. Gest, MD, CEO of Emeryville Occupational Medical Center. Effectively slashing the cost of care in half, Dr. Gest’s model has been already been proven to lower employer healthcare costs allowing users to be more price competitive in their respective market. 

Dr. Gest has been a medical leader and innovator in healthcare delivery since 2002. He opened his first office in close proximity to two national competitors with only his vision of a better care model for injured workers. With the hard work of early investors and dedicated employees, Dr. Gest has grown his current practice into a mulit-million dollar a year healthcare system. Quickly expanding to four locations (Emeryville, Santa Cruz, Redding, and Sacramento), he now manages annual visits of over 130,000 patients. 

Susan Kim, CFO and COO

Susan has been a financial executive experience internationally for over 25 years. Before joining GoHealthNow, she served as the CFO of Emeryville Occupational Medical where she helped Dr. Gest with financial and operational strategies and ongoing day to day finance and accounting operations.

Susan was CFO of Micropicture GmbH, a German/Swiss Laser Optics Company where she raised multiple rounds of financing, and was an Executive Board member CFO of TomTom B.V., a Global GPS Company based in Amsterdam where she was responsible for overall operations, HR, facilities, accounting and finance. She set up global supply chain operations for TomTom’s flagship product and financed and negotiated set up manufacturing in China. Also in Amsterdam, Susan was CFO of F. F. B.V., a Holding Company of management consulting companies in the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany as well as 3 tech startups, where she brought change management and turned around operations to cash flow positive.

In the U.S., Susan was CFO of a Multi Media Messaging Company, Ultiverse Technologies, where she raised multiple rounds of funding and worked extensively with investment banks Goldman and Merrill Lynch for pre-IPO planning. Susan was also the Director of FP&A for Interleaf Inc., a Document Management Company, where she worked to finance the operations before acquisition by Broadvision.

As a senior consultant, Susan was Interim CFO for medical devices, SEO, NRC Environmental companies as well as helping companies like Twitter, Square, EMC, Reebok, Aspen Tech, McKesson and DayStar with strategic international partnerships, M&A and complex high level accounting and finance, Pre-and Post IPO, SEC Reporting and SOX compliance.

Viabhav Shah, CTO

Vaibhav has almost two decades of healthcare IT experience. Prior GoHealthNow, he served as the IT director of Emeryville Occupational Medical Center where he was responsible for process automation. Vaibhav designed and developed unified communication system connects EOMC to Employer and Insurance companies. He successfully implemented telemedicine solution which connects multiple locations and customers (employers). Further, Vaibhav served as senior system architecture at SuiteHealth. He had closely worked with UM/QM, Claims, Finance and Credential department. He transformed lot of paper based processes into easy to use electronic system as well modified many of existing applications to achieve better automation and optimization. Vaibhav was senior software consultant for SSTech Inc. where he developed ambulatory Electronic Medical Record system for his customer. He lead the user interface and implementation team where worked closely with customer to understand their needs and worked with programming team for successful deployment. He also led Meaningful Use EHR (HI-Tech Act) team.  Vaibhav earned a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Information Technology and holds certificates in Advance Computer Networking, JAVA Server and Client Applications, Process Automation and Optimization.

Alex Guervich, Director of Digital Marketing

Alex is a founder and CEO of FinalStep Marketing (http://finalstepmarketing.com). We have asked Alex and his team to help us with digital marketing for our GoHealthNow launch and to maintain the world class digital marketing.  Alex and his team are helping us with state of the art website, engaging content, and effective media. Alex has over 18 plus experience in marketing across many industries. He is an expert in digital marketing and advanced data mining.  Alex and David Bond, our VP of Sales and Marketing will manage our GoHealthNow brand, digitally and analytically to increase sales, brand recognition to get us the right conversations with our B2B customers.
